Recently, Jiangsu JH Valve Industry Co., Ltd. was awarded the SIL certification of gate valves and globe valves issued by TÜV SÜD Group. Since obtaining SIL certification for the first time in 2019, our company has successfully switched its certification body to TÜV SÜD when the certificate expires in 2024, and after a year and a half of safety integrity testing, six series of valve products: gate valves, globe valves, ball valves, control valves, butterfly valves and knife gate valves have once again obtained SIL3 level certification. This certification demonstrates that JH Valve Industry has reached the world’s top standards in terms of safety, reliability and availability, significantly reducing industrial process safety risks and providing a solid guarantee for production safety.
This certification strictly adheres to the IEC 61508:2010 standard, a basic international specification in the field of functional safety, providing comprehensive guidance for the safety design and evaluation of industrial automation systems. SIL-certified products are widely used in safety instrumentation systems (SIS) in the process industry (such as petroleum and chemical) and other safety-critical systems in other industrial fields. Products used in such systems must pass SIL certification, which requires functional safety assessment of product design and full life cycle development, and a certificate of conformity is issued by a qualified third-party organization.
