China Globe Valve Manufacturer - The Gatekeeper of Precision Control
JiangHeng Globe Valve is like a hub of precision control, interpreting the precise control of industrial fluids with millimeter-level opening control. We have provided 100,000 sets of high-performance globe valves for more than 3,000 key devices around the world, saving customers more than 210 million yuan in maintenance costs each year on average.
Jiangheng T-type forged Globe Valve adopts 60° cone seal optimization angle and special material spraying valve body, which reduces flow resistance coefficient by 42% compared with traditional valves. The trapezoidal thread is hardened to reduce the opening and closing torque by 35%.
According to your requirements, Jiangheng can also customize special Globe Valves with rare materials, sizes, sealing surface materials, drive methods, pressure sizes, colors and other requirements.
Whether you choose industrial or general purpose Globe Valves, Jiangheng is your best supplier. We offer competitive prices while ensuring quality.
FAQ—Industrial Globe Valve
The Globe Valve controls the flow of the medium by making the vertically moving valve disc (valve disk) contact or separate from the valve seat. The rotation of the valve stem drives the valve disc up and down to achieve precise flow regulation and reliable cutoff. It is suitable for working conditions that require frequent adjustment or high pressure difference.
Core Differences:
- Function : The Globe Valve can adjust the flow rate, and the gate valve is only used for full opening/full closing;
- Flow resistance : The Globe Valve has a large flow resistance, and the flow resistance is close to zero when the gate valve is fully open;
- Sealing : The sealing surface of the Globe Valve wears more evenly, which is suitable for high-pressure sealing scenarios (such as steam systems).
Choose according to working conditions:
- Structural types : straight-through (T-type), angle (90° flow direction), Y-type (low flow resistance);
- Valve disc design : flat valve disc (general working conditions), conical valve disc (high pressure difference adjustment);
- Connection methods : flange type (high pressure), threaded type (small diameter), welding type (high temperature pipeline).
The medium flow direction marked on the valve body must be strictly followed (usually “low in, high out”). Reverse installation will result in:
- Flow resistance increases dramatically;
- The valve stem is subjected to excessive force, which shortens its service life;
- The sealing surface is easily damaged by medium erosion.
Recommended materials:
- Valve body/valve cover : chrome-molybdenum steel (ASTM A217 WC9, temperature resistance ≤593℃);
- Valve disc/valve seat : Stellite hard alloy surfacing, high temperature erosion resistance;
- Stem : Precipitation hardened stainless steel (17-4PH), resistant to creep deformation.
Leakage causes and countermeasures:
- Packing aging : Replace graphite or PTFE braided packing;
- Valve stem scratches : polish or replace with a new valve stem;
- The gland is loose : tighten the gland bolts evenly to avoid excessive pressure causing jamming.
Use with caution! Particles can easily wear the sealing surface. Recommendations:
- Choose a Y-type Globe Valve or an angled design to reduce particle deposition;
- The disc/seat is coated with tungsten carbide (WC);
- Install a filter at the media inlet.
Key maintenance measures:
- Regular lubrication : Fill the valve stem thread with high-temperature grease (such as Molykote 111) every 3 months;
- Sealing inspection : Conduct a water pressure sealing test once a year (1.1 times the working pressure);
- Clean the valve cavity : flush out impurities when shutting down to prevent scaling from blocking the valve disc.
Main certifications:
- API 602 : Compact Steel Globe Valve Standard (Petrochemical Industry);
- ASME B16.34 : Valve pressure-temperature rating specification;
- ISO 5208 : Industrial valve leakage test;
- TA-Luft : German low leakage certification (chemical environmental protection requirements).
The Globe Valve flow rate and valve disc opening are approximately linearly related, and the adjustment accuracy is high, but it should be noted that:
- Avoid long-term operation with a small opening (easy to erode the sealing surface);
- For high pressure difference working conditions, a multi-stage pressure reducing valve disc design is required.
